Tinuku ~ David Bowie private collection up for auction. The art collection worth £10 million appearing online ahead of Sotheby's auction in London 10th and 11th November.

Hundreds of works art owned by the late singer "Starman" scheduled to auction at Sotheby's next month including pieces by Damien Hirst, Frank Auerbach, Stanley Spencer, Ettore Sottsass and the Memphis group.

Before his death earlier this year, the musician is a collector of works more than 100 designers including super icons Lamp by Martine Bedin and Ettore Sottsass’ Carlton bookcase. More than 120 pieces of 20th century sculpture and furniture.

The legend was born and raised in South London, Bowie studied art, music and design before starting professional career as musician in 1963. Died of cancer 69 years old always generous to museum exhibits and intellectual engagement with art work.

Is an eclectic collection with more than 350 art work from avant-garde painting to German expressionism and surrealist pieces after first democratic elections in South Africa. The work of the artist Jean-Michel Basquiat in "Air Power" expected value up to £3.5 million.

Bowie joined editorial board Modern Painters magazine in 1994 and painted throughout his life, immersed himself in artistic community of London, New York and Berlin.

Sotheby's London open to visitors on November 1 to 10 before auction on 10th and 11th November. There were three days talks at 4 and 6 November with discussion of love Bowie to collect and influence on fashion, art and design.
