The house has cone height of about 15 meters under roof of palm or reeds with bamboo frame. The main pillars using Worok wood sized taken intact from old tree log. Construction did not use nails, but many meters of rattan to bind to one another.

A Mbaru Niang consists of five floors with different functions, but the division of the room showing the house functions as communal living, to keep agricultural crops and for spiritual activities ancestor worship, while underneath the room used by women for weaving.

Construction also uses bamboo as supporting the roof.

The first floor is called Lutur used as a place to stay and hang out with family. Lutur level divided by three is the front of the room for the family room, part of the rooms partitioned using the board and the middle part is the kitchen.
