Global Hydro and Axerna launched smarT Turbine

Tinuku ~ New technology mini hydro turbine introduced. Global Hydro Indonesia and Axerna Renewable Energy re-introduce new technologies at minihydro power plants. Turbines named Global Hydro smarT can be moved to various places in one container and an additional capacity of 0.25 to 1 megawatt (MW).

Markus Straub, President Director of PT Global Hydro Indonesia, claims this new product is suitable for use in areas that do not have access to electricity in Indonesia or where still using conventional energy machines such as diesel generators.

"This technology is the latest research from Austria and is suitable for small islands," Straub said in Jakarta, Saturday, May 20, 2017.

The technology has now begun to be assembled and manufactured in Indonesia at competitive prices. The company is optimistic to encourage developers to get high-quality turbines with more efficient, simple and reliable technology.

Global Hydro Energy as a designer and Axerna Renewable Energy as one of the developers of minihydro power plants continue to conduct review in various regions, especially in eastern Indonesia such as Maluku, East Nusa Tenggara and Papua.

"We believe smart products are the right choice for Indonesia's cleaner and sustainable energy future," Straub said.

SmarT is a new design that is claimed to be more compact, the cost for installation is almost zero, turbine is strong, easy maintenance and durable. The new product also allows for upgrades by adjusting price and customer requirements.

Turbine controls use the visualization available in applications for most PC devices, tablets and smartphones in features equipped with advanced interfaces.
