"Adobe Scan represents a radical reimagination to create PDF files for PC and with Scan, we do the same for the first users worldwide," said Kulmeet Bawa, Managing Director of South Asia Adobe, in a statement.

Adobe Scan lets users turn phones or tablets into scanning tools that automatically recognize text. This application allows to capture images and convert them into PDFs clearly.

Scan is supported by Adobe Sensei's intelligent service to automate border detection, crop-auto and capture, perspective correction and automatic cleaning, eliminating shadows and making text clear.

"Adobe Scan is an important step towards a wider demand for innovation for Adobe Document Cloud," said Abhay Parasnis, Chief Technology Officer at Adobe.

The image or text document can automatically be converted to digital text, copied or annotated using Acrobat DC or DC Acrobat Reader. Content can then be searched for and can be reused safely and reliably.

Users can use the app using a free Adobe Document Cloud account to automatically upload, store, share, and access scanned files.
