Porsche projecting half-sales in 2023 for electric cars

Tinuku ~ Porsche changed the strategic business to follow the future trend by selling electric cars. The premium car maker, Porsche AG, claims all electric powertrains do not have the performance expected by brand customers, but they change their mind and plan the first production of electric cars by 2019 and target 50 total productions by 2023.

The Stuttgart-based company once said electric cars do not have performance capacity for premium cars, they are now changing their views on the latest technology and CEO Oliver Blume is projecting half of Porsche's production will be an electric vehicle by 2023.

The Mission E will be Porsche's first electric vehicle and planned to enter production by 2019. Blume said annual production of 20,000 units for the electric vehicle or a significant volume for German car manufacturers that send more than 230,000 vehicles worldwide by 2016.

They also prepared a second all-electric concept based on Macan design. Porsche is preparing a capacity of 60,000 cars per year at the Zuffenhausen plant for both models. Acceleration of capacity becomes an important part to catch up with many manufacturers and startup other electric cars.

Mission E has a range of more than 310 miles (500 km) with a single charge. Porsche also targets acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, they also claim Mission E will be equipped with a 800 volt charging system that can charge up to 80% in just 15 minutes.
