This technology developed by Bosch with partners is Autotalks, Cohda Wireless, and Ducati. The purpose of the project is to prevent dangerous situations on the road from an early time. Security system to give warning to car drivers and motorcyclists if both will be intersection.

The system will increase their vigilance and communications are expected to reduce the risk of accidents. Transmission of just a few milliseconds between the transmitter and the receiver means the road users generate and transmit important information related to the current traffic situation.

"We make motorcycles and cars talking to each other, creating a digital protective shield for road users," said Dirk Hoheisel, a member of Bosch's management board.

Motorcyclists are often ignored in road traffic, especially motorcycles are also often in the blind spot. Bosch says communication will prevent dangerous situations. Within a few hundred meters radius will exchange information about the type, speed, position and direction in 10 times per second. Bosch developed digital shield to prevent road accidents

This technology will tell you that other vehicles are approaching, allowing them to be more careful in driving. Dangerous situations often occur when two directions drive on a multi-lane road.

The public WLAN standard (ITS G5) is used as the basis for data exchange between the two road users. Transmission of just a few milliseconds between the transmitter and the receiver means the user of the road generates and transmits important information about the traffic situation.
