Amazon is rumored to buying

Tinuku ~ Amazon has officially taken over Whole Foods Market for US$13.7 billion a few days ago, now rumored to be in talks to acquire India's Bigbasket online grocery store, even though there has been no official statement. The acquisition allows Amazon to have stronger footrests to dominate the South Asian market.

Amazon India claims to have successfully doubled the seller's business in less than a year has been rumored to be doubling in the Indian grocery sector.

The news said the e-commerce giant wants to strengthen India's footrests to gain profits in this fast-growing market. Amazon is in very early stage talks to acquire Bigbasket online store, though there has been no confirmation of either. currently operates in nearly 25 cities in India is the largest online food and grocery store in India. The company claims to have a catalog of over 18,000 products and more than 1000 brands.

The online store has a strong network for a variety of products especially fresh fruits and vegetables, rice, spices, meat, packaging products, beverages, personal care products and others.

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos said the company will invest more than US$5 billion in India in the coming years. The focus for extending the reach to strengthen the seller's base and against major maker's competitors is FlipKart, Snapdeal and others.

Amazon has recorded a massive growth of the Amazon Prime membership program. The plan ahead is to use its own digital payment service for a sales base in India.

Foxconn unit to raise $4.2 billion IPO in Shanghai

Foxconn unit to collect US$4.2 billion in an IPO on the Shanghai stock exchange. Taiwan's Foxconn Industrial Internet as one of Foxconn's electronics manufacturing giant units that makes cloud services and industrial robot equipment will float 10% of total shares in an initial public offering in China on Thursday aiming to raise 27.1 billion yuan as China's biggest mainland debut for three year.
