Two weeks ago Bitcoin passed a fork and Bitcoin Cash was created. A few days later Bitcoin was locked in SegWit as a code modification to fix the problem of slowness and provide more space in the blockchain to accommodate more transactions.

Bitcoin shot up also triggered by ICO where Filecoin last week garnered US$180 million in hours. Most investors should convert fiat currency into Bitcoin or other crypto to participate in ICO that can raise prices.

By crashing into this latest milestone, Bitcoin has jumped more than 300% year on year, rising from less than US$1,000 earlier this year to break the key price levels of US$2,000, US$3,000 and US$4,000.

Over the past few months, the media has produced many stories about "Bitcoin millionaires" and the sharp gains that everyday investors can make if they buy bitcoins at the start and hold innovative assets until this year.
