Blockchain is a record ledger called a block that will continue to grow to accommodate the connectedness of cryptographic usage. Microsoft will launch the framework on GitHub internet hosting service in 2018 as an open source project.

"Blockchain is a transformational technology with the potential to extend digital transformation beyond a company’s four walls and into the processes it shares with suppliers, customers and partners," said Microsoft Azure CTO, Mark Russinovich

"A growing number of enterprises are investing in blockchain as a secure and transparent way to digitally track the ownership of assets across trust boundaries and to collaborate on shared business processes, opening up new opportunities for cross-organizational collaboration and imaginative new business models," said Russinovich

Coco Framework integrates the protocols, addresses and increased needs for commercial blockchain applications, including upgrading more than 100 times of existing technology, distributed governance that enables members to choose, and confidentiality without sacrificing performance.
