Nikola Zero electric UTV with 555 horsepower and 4,900 torque

Nikola Motor Company announced Nikola Zero all-electric UTV has crazy specs for all terrain. The 4x4 platform with four passengers produces 415 horsepower and 3,675 foot-pounds of torque, while the other heavier version is 555 horsepower and 4,900 foot-pounds of torque.

Startups headquartered in Utah deliver impressive off-road vehicles equivalent to GT Mustang or Aston Martin DB11 and M1 Abrams.

"Nikola Zero will be the first UTV to come with optional Anti-Lock Braking Systems (ABS), stability control, anti-roll-over, traction control and torque vectors," said Nikola Motor Company CEO Trevor Milton.

"Usually this option is reserved for high-end sports cars and not found on UTV. We have worked hard to make UTV legal and in many states you may be able to get Nikola Zero UTV to work," Milton said.

UTV also has three choices of 75 kWh, 100 kWh and 125 kWh battery with 200 miles for 4x4 mode, four passengers and 0-60 mph acceleration in 3.9 seconds or equivalent to Aston Martin DB11. Milton says a computer monitors each wheel, measuring torque and other parameters 30 times per second.

They planned a test drive in December and began taking orders in January. Milton claims the company uses a patented technique to trigger the power of a small battery and will be happy to license the drivetrain technology to other companies that want to build heavy electric vehicles like pickups.
