Borgward revived the legend of Isabella for luxury future

Borgward Group AG revives Isabella as EV concept car. The legendary brand headquartered in Stuttgart brought back the golden year of 1950s in debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017 as a new-looking retro-electric concept. The Isabella concept is presented as a vision for electric vehicles and the luxury of mobility as a lifestyle of the future.

"The Isabella concept is a modern interpretation of the legendary and beautiful Isabella Borgward," said Member of the Board of Management and Chief Design Officer of Borgward Group AG, Anders Warming.

The company did not disclose the specifications, but the design power was built on aerodynamic aspects and efficiency. Borgward says the vehicle body allows air to flow in a perfect way as a unity of accessibility and attractiveness.

"The design principle of 'Impressions of Flow' is Isabella's concept of realizing Borgward's entire future focus in respect of its DNA and propulsion technology," the company said.

Borgward was founded by Carl F. W. Borgward in Bremen in 1929 and ceased operations in 1961. Borgward Group produced four brands of cars are Borgward, Hansa, Goliath and Lloyd. Christian Borgward, Karlheinz L. Knöss, and Chinese investors in 2008 revived this company.
