Event Pop raised $1.6 million Series A

Event Pop raise US$1.6 million Serie A funding to expand the regional ticketing market. The digital ticket startup headquartered in Bangkok has collected funding rounds from Intouch Holdings's InVent and Beacon Venture Capital's Kasikornbank to expand new products and market expansion into Southeast Asia.

Event Pop was established in 2015 and has previously collected US$500,000 led by millionaire Ittipat Peeradechapan. The ticketing service platform includes access control, non-cash payment, data collection and management, monitoring and analysis.

Startup has handled over 3,000 events, including various shows, festivals, live performances, sports, seminars and business. Event Pop has also used the mobile app as a ticket. The new funds will be used for market expansion into new countries such as Indonesia as Southeast Asia's largest economy.

Event Pop CEO Pattaraporn Bodhisuwan said little about the countries, but said he would see more features for festivals, sporting events and businesses to help organizers and events in Southeast Asia and East Asia.
