Ramayana Department Store partnered with Lazada to drive online sales. Indonesian offline retail giant collaborated with the ecommerce giant to grow its online shopping business. Previously Ramayana has penetrated online business by partnering with Tokopedia since a year ago.

Ramayana Head of Marketing, Ainu Rofiq, said Ramayana business should have entered into an online business. Online sales in Indonesia continue to grow where Ramayana entered the first online business with Tokopedia and has helped the growth of product sales.

"Starting today people are buying Ramayana products in Lazada," Rofiq said.

Rofiq said Ramayana will use two legs at the same time despite having penetrated online business. Ramayana will not leave the offline business that has been growing. Offline businesses remain the main cores in the Ramayana retail business.

CEO of Lazada Indonesia, Achmad Alkatiri, said this partnership is a partner strategy where the sales of fashion products in Lazada is very high. In the early stages Ramayanan will display 1,000 kinds of products on the Lazada platform through online shopping system.

"Ramayana will add fashion products sold through Lazada," Alkatiri said.

Sony announces blue-chip company for taxi and ride-hailing market

Sony Corp. announced it will be a blue-chip company that jockeyes Japan's taxi and ride-hailing market with a joint venture plan to develop an artificial intelligence-based hailing system.
