CME bitcoin futures contract $20,650 for January

Bitcoin futures contract at US$20,650 for January when trading started at the world's largest futures exchange on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group before returning to US$18.630 per contract in early trading. Contracts for February, March, and June are all traded around US$20,000 at the same time.

Active transactions mark a significant step for cryptocurrency as global finance. The CME and Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) are global financial markets that start trading in futures contracts of virtual currency.

Tinuku CME bitcoin futures contract $20,650 for January

The CME contract uses the Bitstamp, GDAX, itBit and Kraken indices, while CBOE uses Gemini Trust. Global finance has attracted their investment in gold, reducing their net-long position by 43 percent in the week ending December 12.

Last Monday, CBOE bitcoin futures contracts that expire in January rose 20 percent on the first day of trading. On Monday morning, the CBOE ending in January traded at US$18,509.00, after touching US$20,500.
