LG Electronics launched AI DeepThinQ to all of company's divisions

LG Electronics Inc. launched an artificial intelligence-based development tool to all divisions to accelerate growth. Seoul technology giant said it has distributed AI DeepThinQ 1.0-based development tools to all business lines as the company's efforts to accelerate the launch of new products equipped with the latest technology.

The DeepThinQ 1.0 development platform will make it easier for researchers to apply in-depth learning technology to electronic products. The announcement follows the company introducing a new AI brand called ThinQ to be used in all future products.

"Products based on the DeepThinQ platform will send different types of information to the cloud server and will become smarter over time, as they educate themselves," the company said.

LG has made various efforts to commercialize AI technologies, including guided robots at Incheon International Airport. Robots using Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese are built to serve visitors and deliver to the location of facilities and shops.

"The DeepThinQ platform has evolved based on data collected from home appliances and other commercial robots," LG Electronics said.
