Ripple rose 50 percent today become second largest cryptocurrency

Ripple rose 50 percent today to become the second largest cryptocurrency under bitcoin. The XRP token is the second biggest spot in the world in market capitalization where the virtual currency rose to US$2.20 in 24 hours and appreciated more than 700 percent since December at around US$0.25.

The XRP currency gets some major events around mid-December where it rises more than 90% in 24 hours to US$0.87. This cryptocurrency did a short rally about a week later to rise to US$1.24 for profit from sustained momentum and trade in Asia.

The XRP price approached US$1.50 earlier this week on news that Tokyo-based SBI Ripple Asia announced a consortium to explore services how the distributed ledger technology could be used for payment cards. Analysts are focused on shifting investor sentiment and XRP has benefited from this change.

Initially, these market participants did not like centralized nature like Ripple and prefer to trade a decentralized virtual currency. However, cryptocurrencies market size has swelled this year, up from about US$17.7 billion to more than US$600 billion this month.
