The triple-lens camera was first adopted by Chinese smartphone maker Huawei’s P20 Pro launched in April and market analysts anticipate more high-end flagships, as well as mid-range phones, will join the trend.

Following the suit of the P20 Pro and V40, Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy S model will likely have a triple-lens camera system. Like the preceding model, the V40 will likely come with an OLED display with a notch design, which was first adopted by US tech giant Apple for the iPhone X in 2017.

LG’s rivals Samsung and Apple have recently taken the wraps off the upgraded models of their respective flagships for the latter half this year. Both Samsung and Apple have put emphasis on huge screen size, big internal memory and large battery capacity.

Apple’s iPhone XS MAX, one of the three latest iPhone X variants, comes in 6.5 inches, 0.1 inch larger than Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9.

Although Apple did not give details of the exact battery capacity, it touted that the XS MAX can last 1 1/2 hours longer than the previous iPhone X. The XS MAX, the largest iPhone ever, comes with up to 512GB of built-in storage, the same as the Note 9.
